Question 1

Are your Costa Rica tours private or shared?

Accepted Answer

Every itinerary is fully private by default. Your family or group travels with your own bilingual guide, driver and vehicle — no strangers, no fixed departures. A few catamaran options can be booked either private-charter or shared, and we always tell you which is which before confirming.

Question 2

How much does a boutique Costa Rica tour cost?

Accepted Answer

Day tours start around $85–$180 per adult depending on destination, distance from your hotel and inclusions (guide, transport, entrance fees, meals). Multi-day custom itineraries with hotels, transfers and activities usually land between $350 and $850 per person per day. All prices include a 20% surcharge that covers local tax and card processing.

Question 3

How far in advance should I book?

Accepted Answer

For high season (Dec–April) we recommend 4–8 weeks. Green season (May–Nov) can often be arranged with 1–2 weeks notice. Catamaran sunset sails, sport fishing and Río Celeste on weekends fill first — the earlier you send dates, the more flexibility you get.

Question 4

Do you pick up from my hotel or villa?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Hotel and villa pickup is included from all major Guanacaste and Arenal areas: Papagayo, Playa Hermosa, Coco, Ocotal, Conchal, Reserva Conchal, Hacienda Pinilla, Tamarindo, Nosara and La Fortuna. Long-distance pickups outside these zones may carry a small transfer add-on — we quote it upfront.

Question 5

What is the minimum group size?

Accepted Answer

We operate from 2 adults. Solo travelers are welcome and pay the 2-adult minimum to secure the private departure. Kids 5–12 travel at a discounted rate; infants 0–4 are free on most tours.

Question 6

What happens if it rains?

Accepted Answer

Costa Rica's green season means short, warm showers — most tours run rain or shine and are even more beautiful. If a specific activity is unsafe (e.g. rafting after heavy rain, catamaran with rough seas), your concierge Rodrigo reshuffles the plan in real time at no extra cost.

Question 7

Can you plan a full multi-day Costa Rica itinerary?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this is what we do best. Send us your travel dates, group size, style (adventure, wellness, family, honeymoon) and hotel preferences, and we build a full day-by-day plan with hotels, transfers, tours and restaurant recommendations across Guanacaste, Arenal, Monteverde and the Pacific coast.
